Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer IV to join our team. The ideal candidate will specialize in camera prototyping and hardware integration, working on cutting-edge technologies in a dynamic environment. This role involves prototyping integrated camera systems, supporting demo readiness, and managing internal hardware demos. The candidate will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of projects.
Responsibilities:

• Develop hardware prototypes for integrated camera systems, including CAD design, electrical engineering, and optical components.
• Support the purchasing process for prototyping and demo efforts.
• Ensure demo readiness by performing device bring-up, dry-run demos, and loading all necessary calibration and software.
• Support internal product demos by ensuring devices are working optimally and participating in hardware demonstrations.
• Collaborate with data collection teams and manage procurement for internal camera system prototypes.
• Plan and manage prototype projects involving multiple team members.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Familiarity with working with camera sensors streaming RAW data.
• Experience with mechanical, optical, and electrical prototyping, including assembling complex systems, soldering, basic electrical testing, and aligning optical components.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience working with cameras used for AI applications, such as AR/VR, robotics, autonomous vehicles, or computer vision applications.
• Expertise in prototyping skills, including CAD design, 3D printing, electrical design, programming embedded devices, and assembling consumer electronics.
• Experience working with Android devices (adb).
