Job Title: Vehicle Integration Engineer
Location: Holmdel, NJ (Onsite)
Duration: Long Term

Job Description:
We are looking for a Vehicle Integration Engineer to support an autonomous vehicle operations team. The role involves working closely with automotive technicians and engineers to build, test, integrate, and maintain autonomous vehicle systems. The engineer will diagnose and resolve vehicle platform issues related to sensors, ECUs, communication systems, and data logging equipment, ensuring safe and reliable operation of the driving platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Debug, maintain, and integrate systems into vehicle platforms
  • Triage and troubleshoot in-vehicle issues related to sensors, ECUs, communication, and software
  • Diagnose vehicle communication issues and implement solutions
  • Perform hands-on work including disassembling and assembling vehicle components
  • Act as the first responder for vehicle platform issues
  • Suggest improvements to prevent recurring issues

Required Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience installing, repairing, and updating vehicle or autonomous vehicle hardware
  • Strong experience with automotive bus systems (CAN, Ethernet, FlexRay)
  • Experience working with automotive sensors such as cameras, radar, LiDAR, and ultrasonic sensors
  • Ability to diagnose automotive electronics and vehicle communication systems
  • Bachelor's degree in Automotive, Electrical, IT, or related engineering field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience with ECU communication, ECU flashing, IP/Ethernet networking, and Linux command line
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills
  • Flexibility to work evening or weekend shifts if required

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Linux OS and scripting
  • Knowledge of automotive bus analysis tools (Vector CANoe, CANalyzer)
  • Experience with sensor calibration and autonomous driving platforms
