Application Developer – Google Cloud Platform / BigQuery
Location: Fully Remote – Anywhere in the U.S.
Contract: Long-Term Contract
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM –5:00 PM
Industry: Healthcare / PBM
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Application Developer III with strong Google Cloud Platform, BigQuery, and SQL skills to support healthcare and pharmacy benefit analytics initiatives. The role involves working with large datasets, developing SQL/BigQuery solutions, performing data validation, and supporting member communication and benefit-related initiatives.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute SQL queries and Google Cloud Platform BigQuery code to process and analyze large datasets.
  • Perform database list pulls and data extracts for healthcare and PBM initiatives.
  • Validate data and perform quality assurance on database outputs and list pulls.
  • Design, develop, test, debug, and document application and database solutions.
  • Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
  • Support application enhancements, maintenance, unit testing, and integration testing.
  • Troubleshoot data and application issues and implement appropriate solutions.
  • Work with business and technical teams to meet project requirements and deadlines.
  • Manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, MIS, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of experience in systems analysis, application development, or related experience.
  • Strong hands-on SQL experience.
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) and BigQuery.
  • Experience with relational databases such as Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server, or BigQuery.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Healthcare, PBM, pharmacy benefits, or insurance industry experience.
  • Experience with database analytics or direct marketing.
  • Experience working with large healthcare/member datasets.
  • Knowledge of healthcare business processes and care delivery.
  • Experience with formulary and benefit-plan data.
