Job Description

One of our clients in Newark, NJ is urgently looking for an Oracle Cloud Payroll Functional Consultant.

 

 

Duration: 12 months +

Hourly: $65 - $70 per hour (C2C/1099)

 

 

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Cloud Payroll Functional Consultant with strong expertise in Oracle Cloud Payroll. The ideal candidate will be responsible for gathering business requirements, designing payroll solutions, configuring Oracle Cloud Payroll, supporting integrations, conducting testing, and providing post-go-live support. Experience with global payroll implementations and end-to-end Oracle HCM Cloud projects is highly preferred.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to payroll processes.
  • Configure Oracle Cloud Payroll modules based on client requirements.
  • Design payroll elements, balances, formulas, fast formulas, payroll flows, and statutory configurations.
  • Configure payroll components including Payroll definitions, Payroll relationships, Payroll calendars, Elements & Element Eligibility, Balance Definitions, Fast Formulas, Costing, Payment Methods, Payroll Flows and Payroll Security
  • Configure payroll costing and General Ledger integration.
  • Work closely with technical teams on inbound/outbound integrations using HCM Extracts, HDL, REST/SOAP APIs, and reporting requirements.
  • Perform Fit-Gap Analysis and recommend best-practice Oracle solutions.
  • Support data migration and payroll validation activities.
  • Prepare functional specification documents (FSDs) and review technical design documents.
  • Troubleshoot payroll issues and perform root cause analysis.
  • Support payroll reconciliation and month-end/year-end payroll processing.
  • Provide post-production support and resolve incidents within SLA timelines.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, Technical Consultants, and third-party vendors.
  • Conduct user training and prepare user guides and process documentation.

 

 

Required Skills

  • 5–7 years of Oracle HCM Cloud experience with strong specialization in Oracle Cloud Payroll.
  • Hands-on experience in at least 2 lifecycle Oracle Cloud Payroll implementations.
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle Cloud Payroll configuration.
  • Expertise in Payroll Processing, Payroll Costing, Payroll Balances, Payroll Elements, Fast Formula, Payroll Flows, Payroll Relationships and Payroll Validation.
  • Experience with payroll integrations.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and statutory compliance.
  • Experience supporting global payroll or multi-country payroll implementations is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
