Barista/FOH Waiting on Staff

Responsibilities

• Greeting customers: Welcome guests and seat them
• Taking orders: Input orders into the POS system and relay them to the kitchen
• Serving food and drinks: Deliver food and drinks to customers in a timely manner
• Ensuring customer satisfaction: Check on customers throughout their meal and address special requests
• Handling payments: Accept cash or card payments and deliver checks
• Maintaining a clean work area: Keep the dining area clean and tidy
• Collaborating with kitchen and staff: Communicate with kitchen staff and cooperate with other serving staff

Additional duties

• Setting and arranging tables
• Presenting menus and beverage lists
• Opening bottles and pouring beverages
• Clearing tables and returning dishes and cutlery to kitchen
• Making recommendations based on guest questions and preferences
• Up-selling when appropriate
• Adhering to all relevant health department rules and regulations
