Senior iOS Developer

THE ROLE

We are partnering with a leading Australian consumer focused digital business seeking an experienced iOS Developer to join a high performing mobile engineering team on an initial 9 month contract, with strong potential for extension.

You'll be working on large scale, customer facing mobile applications used by millions of users, helping deliver new features, enhance existing functionality, resolve defects, and contribute to the ongoing evolution of a critical digital platform.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop and maintain native iOS applications using Swift.
• Build and deliver new customer-facing features and enhancements.
• Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve production issues and bugs.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers and Engineers across multiple teams.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
• Ensure application performance, reliability and scalability.
• Work across the full software development lifecycle from design through to deployment and support.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the mobile engineering function.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Proven commercial experience developing native iOS applications.
• Strong expertise in Swift and modern iOS development frameworks.
• Experience building and supporting large scale customer facing mobile applications.
• Experience with Kotlin and a solid understanding of cross platform mobile development concepts.
• Experience integrating APIs and backend services.
• Strong understanding of mobile application architecture and design patterns.
• Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
• Excellent problem solving and stakeholder communication skills.

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience working on digital products with large active user bases.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing practices.
• Experience contributing to app performance and optimisation initiatives.
• Knowledge of modern mobile engineering practices and DevOps principles.
