The Role

• Operate heavy equipment (hostlers, cranes, top loaders, side loaders) to load and unload shipping containers from railcars and trucks.
• Drive hostlers to position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard.
• Stack, move, and organize containers according to operational needs and safety protocols.
• Conduct pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality.
• Coordinate with yard personnel and supervisors to manage daily logistics tasks and container movements.
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to established company procedures.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Previous experience operating heavy equipment in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs and climbing.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including all shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
