Description

SAIC is seeking a detailed-oriented Technical Writer to work at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center alongside the government customer.

As a Technical Writer, you will apply strong writing, editing, and technical communication skills to develop, revise, and maintain clear, accurate publications that support mission, operational, engineering, research, and administrative activities. You will produce reports, manuals, briefings, proposals, instructional materials, catalogs, and other documentation addressing work methods, procedures, and the installation, operation, and maintenance of systems and equipment. You will collaborate with subject-matter experts and cross-functional teams to translate complex technical, scientific, or operational information into usable content for intended audiences. Your expertise will help ensure publications are technically accurate, well organized, consistently formatted, and delivered on schedule. You may also review and refine the work of other writers and coordinate documentation activities to support high-quality, mission-relevant publications.

Qualifications

Qualifications:
  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Active DoW Secret clearance or higher.
  • Bachelor's degree (four-year) in English, Technical Writing, Communications, Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of relevant education, training, and professional experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and familiarity with collaborative tools (SharePoint, Teams, Confluence, or similar).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail, grammar, and structure.
  • Ability to collaborate with SMEs and synthesize information from multiple sources into coherent documents.
