We are currently looking for an experienced Electrical Improver to join an industrial and commercial electrical installation project in Hampshire on an initial 8-week contract.
The successful candidate will work alongside qualified electricians and supervisors, assisting with electrical installation works and supporting the wider site team to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist electricians with electrical installation works across an industrial/commercial project.
- Support with the installation, preparation and termination of electrical systems and equipment.
- Assist with cable pulling, containment, glanding, termination and general electrical installation duties.
- Read and understand basic electrical drawings and site plans.
- Work under the direction of the Electrical Supervisor and qualified Electricians.
- Ensure materials, tools and equipment are available and ready for use.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
- Follow all site health & safety procedures and RAMS.
- Assist with general electrical installation and site duties as required.
- Report any issues or concerns to the Electrical Supervisor.
Essential Requirements
- Blue CSCS Card – essential.
- Previous experience working as an Electrical Improver.
- Previous experience within commercial and/or industrial environments.
- Basic understanding of electrical installation works.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a site team.
- Good understanding of site health & safety requirements.
- Full UK driving licence preferred.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Good communication skills and a reliable approach to work.
Desirable Qualifications / Experience
- ECS qualification/card.
- 18th Edition BS7671.
- EUSR / Water Hygiene.
- Thames Water Passport.
- IPAF.
- Confined Space.
- Previous experience working within the utilities sector.
- Experience with MEICA installation projects.
- Experience working on industrial or water-related electrical installations.
- 8-week contract
