Job Description

Company Description

With Leadership is a boutique leadership development organisation whose purpose is to facilitate purpose-full leadership. We believe leadership is most effective when done with others, rather than to or for others. Our vision is to co-create awe-inspiring learning experiences that multiply human intelligences.

With Leadership delivers impactful development programmes at all levels of leadership throughout an organisation, helping to develop C-suite executives and brand-new apprentices. Our approach is well captured by a recent client testimonial:

“I recommend With Leadership as a trusted partner. They have worked with the EMEA Claims Leadership over the last 4 years, driving cultural change, increased capability, and tangible results.

They took time to get to know us and to get clarity re: context and opportunity. They have then consistently demonstrated excellence in providing creative, unique solutions which have evolved to ensure maximum impact and improved 360 organisational results.

With Leadership care about your goals, are easy to work with and are truly experts in their field.”

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for someone at the earlier stages of their consulting or learning and development career who is passionate about helping people and teams perform at their best.

Working closely with colleagues, the Consultant will play an important role in ensuring client projects run brilliantly and deliver the impact our clients are looking for. Day-to-day activities will include development programme design and delivery, coordinating project activity, preparing materials, communicating with clients, facilitating workshops, gathering feedback and helping to ensure every aspect of the client experience is well organised and powerfully delivered.

The role will involve working across a variety of client projects, giving the successful candidate exposure to leadership development, learning, facilitation and consultancy.

The Consultant role is a full-time, hybrid position working out of our Colchester office.

What we're looking for

We care as much about how you work as what you know.

Ultimately, we're looking for someone who has presence, adaptability, and has a strong desire to help others be even better humans. Someone who can take a client's challenge, make sense of it and help create an experience that genuinely changes something.

Most importantly, you will want to be part of a team that does purpose-full work, builds long-term client relationships and leaves people and organisations better than we found them.

Our five values describe the kind of people we want to work with, and we’re looking for someone who brings them to life every day.

BE ONE – Bring the whole you

·      Genuine, approachable and comfortable being yourself.

·      Builds trust and respects different perspectives.

·      Connects to our purpose and enjoys being part of a team.

BRING LIGHT – Bring energy and possibility

·      Positive, solutions-focused and willing to bring new ideas.

·      Brings energy and optimism, especially when things get challenging.

·      Helps create an environment where people can do their best work.

REVEAL TRUTH – Be honest and listen deeply

·      A thoughtful listener who genuinely wants to understand.

·      Comfortable asking questions and saying when you don't know.

·      Communicates honestly, clearly and respectfully.

ABSORB STUFF – Stay curious and keep growing

·      Naturally curious and hungry to learn.

·      Notices what is happening around them and pays attention to detail.

·      Welcomes feedback and looks for ways to improve.

LEAVE BETTER – Make a positive difference

·      Takes pride in leaving things better than they found them.

·      Spots what needs doing and gets stuck in.

·      Cares about colleagues, clients and creating a great experience.

Experience & Qualifications

Previous experience in learning and development, consulting, training, facilitation, event management or a similar environment would be beneficial, but is not essential.

We are particularly interested in people who can demonstrate:

  • Personal growth and learning. Have demonstrated the ability to challenge their own personal paradigms, learn new skills, learn from feedback and are still actively refining their human intelligences.
  • Experience working in a dynamic, team-based environment. Willing to lead, to be proactive when others may hesitate.
  • Strong organisation and project coordination skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Facilitation skills that engage and inspire others to learn and develop
  • Confidence working in the Microsoft ecosystem (Teams, Outlook, Powerpoint). Strong confidence in using PowerPoint to design materials
  • An active interest in leadership, learning, coaching, people development and team effectiveness.
  • A willingness to travel to client locations when required.
  • A degree or relevant professional qualification is welcome, but attitude, potential and the ability to develop others are more important to us than having a particular qualification.

The person we're looking for

Ultimately, we're looking for someone who is curious, organised and great with people. Someone who takes pride in making things happen, wants to learn from experienced consultants and is excited by the opportunity to make a genuine difference to our clients.

You don't need to know everything on day one. We want someone with the potential, mindset and ambition to grow with us.
