Technical Manual Machinist

What you’ll be doing;
· Review, drawings or instructions to understand specifications of output.
· Plan the sequence of necessary actions for the completion of a job in liaison with the facility planners.
· Take measurements and mark material for cutting or shaping.
· Select appropriate machines (e.g. lathes, Mill, grinder etc..) and position or load material for a job.
· Select tools and cutting conditions. Generate and maintain programs.
· Define and manufacture tooling fixture/JIG required to manufacture the parts.
· Check output to ensure consistency with specifications. Request confirmation from QC.
· Perform routine machine maintenance and repair minor damages or solicit intervention from the maintenance department.
· Operate the machines safely

Qualifications/ What you bring (Must Haves) – Highlight Top 3-5 skills

· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Minimum 5 years of experience in a manual machine shop or tool room department. Or Preferred Experience as described below.
· Must be able to read blueprints and work instructions in English.
· Must have the knowledge of and be able to use all measuring devices to ensure the quality of the manufactured components

Physical requirements are listed below but not limited to:

· Standing- Frequent/Intermittent Up to 8 hours per day.
· Walking- Occasionally/Intermittent Up to 8 hours per day.
· Sitting- Occasionally/Intermittent. Lifting- Up to 50 lbs.
· Occasionally/Intermittent. Carrying up to 50 lbs.
· Occasionally/Intermittent Pushing/Pulling-between 50-100 lbs
