Traffic Management Operative | St Austell, United Kingdom | On-site We are seeking an experienced Traffic Management Operative for a leading traffic management solutions provider, recognized for its extensive project delivery and cost-effective approach across the UK. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth and safe execution of traffic management schemes for a variety of clients. The Role • Oversee and implement various traffic management methods, including priority, temporary traffic signals, convoy working, closures, and diversions. • Ensure all operations adhere to established safe working methods, best practice procedures, and relevant legislation (Red Book, Chapter 8, ARTSM). • Conduct risk assessments and method statements for traffic management works. • Proactively identify areas for improvement in processes and report them to management. • Perform daily vehicle checks to maintain cleanliness, tidiness, and safety standards. • Assist the public by directing them through safe site lines when necessary. What You'll Need • Lantra 12d accreditation (TTMB C, 12d M1-M2) as a minimum. • Lantra 12 a/b accreditation and IPV driver/foreman experience are advantageous. • Understanding of the differences between Chapter 8 and the Red Book and their application. • Full, valid UK driving licence. • Ability to read and understand CAD drawings relevant to works. • Mechanical aptitude with traffic light systems is preferable.
