Intern - Service Center Engineer - I.A.M.

The Identity and Access Management Intern supports Midland States Bank's IT Service Center and IAM team. The intern helps manage user identities and access across systems, assists with access requests and remediation, and learns tools such as Okta and the IT service management platform. The role includes mapping and documenting identity governance processes, analyzing related data and metrics, and collaborating with IT support teams in an on-site office environment.

Responsibilities

• Work with IAM engineers to learn identity lifecycle concepts and how user identities are governed.
• Assist with user access requests and remediation tasks using the IT service management tool.
• Develop foundational knowledge of Okta and support administration of identity and access governance.
• Analyze data and document processes related to identity and access management.
• Contribute to a project mapping the identity governance layer and related performance metrics.
• Collaborate with the Service Center and broader IT teams to understand how IAM supports operations.
• Maintain compliance with applicable regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
