Data Analytics Engineer - Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Python - vacancy for our Basel based client in the Banking sector.

Your tasks:

• Develop end-to-end data pipelines, ensuring efficient extraction, transformation and loading across multiple data sources.


• Build and support data ingestion solutions for data warehouse and lakehouse environments.


• Work with technologies such as Spark, SQL and open-source data platforms to deliver robust data solutions.


• Translate business and technical requirements into detailed designs and implement suitable data architectures.


• Collaborate closely with business analysts, data architects, engineers, project managers and other stakeholders to support data-related needs.


• Provide responsive support for data platforms, including participation in an on-call rotation.

Your experience/knowledge:

• At least 5 years' experience in modern data technologies.


• Proven experience building data ingestion pipelines for data warehouse and/or data lake/lakehouse architectures.


• Hands-on experience with open-source technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Spark, HBase, Kafka, Impala or dbt, ideally in a Cloudera environment.


• Strong background in data modelling, design patterns and highly scalable application development.


• Excellent Python skills.


• Language skills: English
