Jr. Technical Program Manager


W2 Contract


Pay Rate: $55 - $65 per hour


Location: San Jose, CA - Onsite Role


Job Summary:


We're looking for a curious, detail-driven Junior Project Manager to track and drive a key engineering migration. You'll own the completion picture: which services, teams, and components have migrated, what's blocked, and when the long tail will close.


Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Track migration progress across services, teams, and components, and report percent complete against target dates.

  • Maintain the migration tracker: owners, status, dependencies, and target dates for every item in scope.

  • Keep an inventory of everything in scope, and confirm each item is migrated, verified, and the legacy path turned down.

  • Chase owners on open migration work; follow up until each item is done, verified, and closed.

  • Identify blockers (dependencies, missing features, capacity) and escalate with clear options.

  • Run weekly migration syncs; publish notes, decisions, and action items.

  • Build burndown trackers and dashboards for stakeholders and leadership.

  • Drive the long tail: find the last holdout teams and negotiate timelines to finish.

  • Document runbooks, exceptions, and lessons learned for future migrations.


Requirements and Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 3-5 years of project coordination or project management experience, ideally in tech or software.

  • Experience tracking a great, multi-team effort (such as a migration, deprecation, or platform rollout) to completion.

  • Working knowledge of the software development lifecycle and Agile/Scrum practices.

  • Strong skills in Google Workspace/Office 365, especially Sheets/Excel for tracking and reporting.

  • Clear written and verbal communication with engineers and non-technical stakeholders.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience as a Project Manager in a Technical environment.

  • Experience driving Migration efforts

  • Familiarity with other in-house engineering tools and workflows is a plus
