Senior Information Systems Security Officer with Security Clearance

Apex Systems is currently hiring for a Senior ISSO (RMF/A&A) with a leading federal defense contractor supporting a long-term US Special Operations Command (SOCOM) program. This position will support enterprise cybersecurity compliance efforts across a large, classified environment, helping guide systems through the Risk Management Framework (RMF) lifecycle while maintaining authorization compliance across multiple systems and enclaves. Project Details / Mission Supported: • Support a large-scale enterprise IT and cybersecurity program serving the US Special Operations Command (SOCOM).

• Perform RMF and Accreditation & Authorization (A&A) activities across 20+ classified systems and enclaves.
• Guide systems through the full RMF lifecycle, including new authorizations, reauthorizations, continuous monitoring, security assessments, and vulnerability remediation efforts. Qualified candidates will have the following experience and skills:
• 8+ years of cybersecurity experience supporting RMF, A&A, ISSO, ISSM, or cybersecurity compliance functions.
• Experience guiding systems through the full RMF lifecycle, including initial ATOs, reauthorizations, and continuous monitoring activities.
• Hands-on experience developing and maintaining RMF artifacts including SSPs, SAPs, SARs, POA&Ms, Risk Registers, and Continuous Monitoring documentation.
• Strong experience utilizing eMASS for package management, workflow coordination, control inheritance, and authorization package maintenance.
• Experience conducting security control assessments and validating controls against NIST SP 800-53 requirements.
• Experience supporting vulnerability management efforts utilizing ACAS, Nessus, DISA STIGs, SCC/SCAP, and remediation tracking.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate with cybersecurity teams, engineers, and government stakeholders.
