We are seeking an experienced Airport Engineering Manager to lead a team of eight engineers within a large, complex operational environment. This role is crucial for maintaining critical electrical and mechanical assets, ensuring safety, reliability, and service continuity. The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical engineering background and a broad understanding of mechanical systems and infrastructure maintenance.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Lead and manage a team of engineers operating across multiple shift patterns.
• Ensure the safe and effective maintenance of critical electrical and mechanical assets.
• Provide technical leadership within a live operational environment where reliability and service continuity are essential.
• Support reactive maintenance activities and participate in an out-of-hours on-call escalation process when required.
• Work closely with operational and asset management teams to drive performance, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong electrical engineering background with supporting mechanical knowledge.
• Experience working with high-voltage systems and exposure to substation environments.
• Good understanding of electrical systems, safety procedures, and operational processes.
• Previous team leadership or management experience within an engineering environment.
• Experience working in complex, safety-critical or highly operational settings.
• Desirable experience includes exposure to airport/aviation environments, automated systems, security-related infrastructure, materials handling equipment, or similar critical engineering assets.
