Computer Systems Engineer | St. Petersburg, FL | Hybrid | $131,300.00 - $237,350.00
We're hiring on behalf of a leading technology company that supports government and commercial customers with innovative digital and mission solutions. This organization is known for its advanced engineering capabilities and commitment to tackling complex challenges in critical defense applications.
The Role
- Serve as the technical lead and subject matter expert for the architecture, design, analysis, integration, and production of advanced phased array antenna systems.
- Lead and mentor multi-disciplinary engineering teams through concept development, simulation, hardware implementation, integration, and testing.
- Develop antenna system concepts, translating mission needs into clear, traceable system requirements and performance specifications.
- Conduct and oversee trade studies evaluating performance, cost, risk, manufacturability, and scalability.
- Provide technical oversight throughout design reviews, integration, verification, validation, and transition to production.
- Guide electromagnetic modeling, array simulation, beamforming architecture development, and performance validation activities.
What You'll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromagnetics, RF Engineering, or related discipline with 12–15+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 10–13+ years of relevant experience in phased array or advanced antenna systems.
- Extensive experience in the design, analysis, fabrication, integration, and test of complex phased array antenna systems.
- Deep understanding of array theory, beamforming techniques, mutual coupling effects, scan loss, and calibration methodologies.
- Proficiency with full-wave electromagnetic modeling and simulation tools (e.g., HFSS, FEKO, CST) and analytical tools (e.g., MATLAB).
- Demonstrated experience leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams and conducting formal technical design reviews with customers.
- U.S. Citizenship required and ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
