Data Officer

Key responsibilities include:

• Learning and developing Microsoft Data Platform solutions
• Maintaining existing data platforms, Power BI reports, and Microsoft Fabric developments
• Supporting data-related initiatives across the IT Services team
• Assisting with data maintenance, reporting, and analysis activities
• Troubleshooting and resolving data-related issues
• Ensuring compliance with Council policies, legislative requirements, and Equal Employment Opportunity standards
• Providing high-quality customer service and stakeholder support

What you'll need to succeed

• Tertiary qualifications (completed or in progress) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline
• Experience providing client-focused data development and maintenance services
• Understanding of Microsoft Fabric and modern Microsoft Data Platforms
• Knowledge of Microsoft data development technologies and reporting tools
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills

Desirable

• Exposure to data management and governance practices
• Experience developing reports, dashboards, and data solutions
• Knowledge of Power BI and related Microsoft ecosystem technologies
