We're currently working with a London Market Insurer who are looking for a visionary Principal Engineer to help redefine what engineering looks like within a rapidly evolving technology organisation.

You'll play a key part in transforming the engineering function from conventional software delivery into an AI-first, agent-driven technology ecosystem. Working closely with senior leadership, you'll influence strategy, shape architecture, drive innovation, and help establish a modern engineering culture where AI sits at the heart of everything we do.

You'll likely bring:

• Significant experience in software engineering and solution architecture
• A passion for emerging technologies and innovation
• Experience leading engineering teams or technical functions
• The ability to coach, mentor and scale teams as the organisation grows
• Experience with Salesforce, GCP, MuleSoft or AI platforms such as Claude/Anthropic would be highly advantageous.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

This is a permanent role paying up to £115k and based in the office 3 days per week.
