Job Description

TSG - The Sheridan Group seeks a Digital Public Affairs Communications Specialist to support strategic campaigns at the intersection of policy, politics, and media. You'll assist with research, content development, and multichannel outreach for corporate, nonprofit, and association clients. Working closely with senior leaders in a collaborative, high-performance culture, you'll help shape advocacy strategies, track policy and media developments, support client deliverables, and analyze campaign results while gaining broad exposure to public affairs and issue campaigns.

Responsibilities

  • Support development and execution of digital public affairs and advocacy campaigns for corporate and nonprofit clients
  • Coordinate research, drafting, and production of policy-focused communications and content
  • Assist with social, web, and email outreach to engage policymakers, stakeholders, and media
  • Track policy, legislative, and media developments relevant to client issues
  • Gather and analyze campaign performance data and prepare client-ready reports
  • Collaborate with senior strategists on messaging, targeting, and tactical recommendations
  • Provide project management support to keep timelines, deliverables, and budgets on track
  • Participate in client calls, internal briefs, and brainstorming sessions
  • Draft memos, briefs, presentations, and talking points for internal and client use
  • Contribute to a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on measurable impact
