.NET Software Engineer - Essex

55,000 to 65,000 per annum

Arden Resourcing is working with an established technology business in Braintree that is looking to recruit an experienced .NET Software Engineer to join its growing development team.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong C# and .NET background who enjoys building and improving software applications, solving technical challenges and contributing to the development of new products.

Working alongside an experienced team of developers, you'll be involved in the full software development lifecycle, from initial design through to deployment and ongoing improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and maintain applications using C# and .NET.
  • Develop Windows and web applications.
  • Build and integrate REST APIs.
  • Work with SQL Server databases.
  • Troubleshoot, debug and improve existing software.
  • Write clean, efficient and maintainable code.
  • Collaborate with other developers on new features and projects.
  • Contribute to code reviews and development best practices.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Strong commercial experience with C# and .NET development.
  • Experience with .NET Framework 4.8.1 and .NET Core / .NET 8+.
  • Windows application development experience, ideally WPF.
  • Good knowledge of SQL Server.
  • Experience developing and integrating REST APIs.
  • Understanding of software architecture and design patterns.
  • Experience using Git and working within Agile environments.

Desirable:

  • Experience with IIS and web application development.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
