Data Migration Engineer Mid Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Data Migration Engineer Mid to support a federal modernization program focused on migrating high-volume legacy data into secure cloud environments. This position is on-site in Huntsville, AL. The Data Migration Engineer Mid will support ETL development, data transformation, validation, and migration activities across large-scale government systems. Responsibilities for the Data Migration Engineer Mid include:
- Support the development, execution, and optimization of ETL workflows for large-scale data migration efforts.
- Perform data extraction, transformation, cleansing, normalization, mapping, and validation of structured and unstructured datasets.
- Conduct data quality assessments, integrity checks, completeness reviews, and error resolution activities.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers, DevSecOps teams, QA engineers, and cloud architects to support migration readiness and testing efforts.
- Maintain migration documentation, status reporting, risk tracking, and operational readiness artifacts.
- 4+ years of experience supporting data migration, ETL processes, data engineering, or related data management initiatives.
- Experience with ETL tools, scripting languages, data mapping, data transformation, data validation, and pipeline automation.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and collaboration skills with attention to detail in fast-paced technical environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field.
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance
