Domiciliary care worker

We are looking for compassionate, reliable and dedicated Domiciliary Care Workers to join our care team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality care and support to individuals in their own homes, helping them to maintain their independence, dignity and quality of life.

As a Domiciliary Care Worker, you will provide person-centred support tailored to each individual's needs and preferences. This may include personal care, medication support, meal preparation, companionship and assistance with daily living activities.

You will be expected to build positive and professional relationships with service users and their families, while maintaining confidentiality and respecting each person's choices, rights and independence.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing personal care, including washing and dressing
• Supporting service users with medication in accordance with care plans and company procedures.
• Preparing meals and assisting with eating and drinking where required.
• Providing companionship and emotional support.
• Supporting service users with household tasks, laundry and light cleaning where required.
• Assisting with mobility and maintaining a safe home environment.
• Supporting individuals to maintain their independence and participate in activities of their choice.
• Recognising and reporting any changes in a service user's condition, wellbeing or circumstances.
• Maintaining accurate and timely care records and documentation.
• Communicating effectively with service users, families, colleagues and other professionals.
• Promoting dignity, privacy, equality, choice and independence at all times.
• Attending required training, supervision and meetings.
• Working as part of a professional and supportive care team.

Previous experience in a care or support role is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
