As a PostgreSQL DBA, you'll play an important role in building and support database infrastructure to support the company s technological road map. You will be working closely with other DBAs, Data Architects, Solution Architects, Developers and Analysts.

We need someone who can:

Install, configure, and maintain database server software, apply patches of PostgreSQL databases

Create high availability cluster and a Disaster Solution plan

Monitor database performance to identify slowdowns or potential issues

Create database objects such as tables, views, triggers, and indexes

Perform regular database backups to ensure data integrity in case of a server crash

Perform regular scheduled maintenance on the database server, such as vacuum analysis on large tables to remove obsolete data

Basic Qualifications for Consideration:

Education: Bachelor s degree in computer science, information technology, computer engineering, or another related field.

Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience as a PostgreSQL DBA

• experience in administering PostgreSQL databases
• Working experience using PostgreSQL ver. 16 and higher.
• experience with Database and SQL Tuning using PostgreSQL
• Assist development teams in optimizing PostgreSQL
• PostgreSQL backup and restore
• Designing and managing PostgreSQL database schemas
• Proficient in SQL and advanced SQL
• Experience in security access control
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Highly motivated, able to work both in a team and solo
• Must be able to meet deadlines and work well under pressure

At least 3+ years of hands-on EDB administration with experience in below:

• EFM (EDB Postgres Failover Manager)
• Search Path
• EPAS Advanced Database administration
• VACUUM Full or 3 rd party tools
• pgbouncer, pgpool
• EFM and streaming replication
• Logical replication
• PEM for monitoring
• MTK for migration from Oracle to PostgreSQL
• Backup and recovery Tool

Preferred Qualifications for Consideration:

Certification in PostgreSQL is preferred.

Experience with PGD is preferred.

Experience with MongoDB is preferred.

Experience with Microsoft Azure - Nice to have

Experience with other databases Like Oracle - Nice to have
