Job Description
AMI Meter Testing
Location: LA, CA
Required Qualifications
- In-depth understanding of how meters work at a functional/technical level (not just installation)
- Experience with Head End Systems (HES) and meter-to-HES integration
- Familiarity with meter communication protocols (e.g., RF mesh, cellular, PLC, DLMS/COSEM, ANSI C12, etc.)
- Experience working with new AMI meter rollouts and identifying edge/corner cases
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Preferred Qualifications
- OEM experience with meter manufacturers such as:
- Itron
- Landis+Gyr (L+G)
- Honeywell
- (or similar AMI meter OEMs)
- Prior experience in utility, smart grid, or AMI deployment projects
Familiarity with meter data management systems (MDMS)
