Cyber Security Engineer (MS Identity & Cloud), £450-500 per day inside IR35

Bench IT require an experienced cyber security expert to join a large company starting ASAP. The Cyber Security Engineer (Identity & Cloud) is responsible for supporting and enhancing the organisation's cyber security posture across Microsoft technologies, with a particular focus on Identity and Access Management, Microsoft Entra ID, Privileged Identity Management (PIM), Azure security, Microsoft 365 security and Power Platform governance

Knowledge & Experience

• Experience administering Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory).
• Experience implementing or supporting Conditional Access policies and access governance processes.
• Experience supporting Microsoft 365 security capabilities and cloud-based services.
• Experience with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and Defender for Office 365.
• Experience with Microsoft Sentinel.
• Knowledge of role-based access control (RBAC) concepts and privileged access management principles.
• Experience with Microsoft Privileged Identity Management (PIM).

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Microsoft Entra ID security controls, including Conditional Access, Identity Protection and access governance capabilities.
• Support the implementation, operation and continuous improvement of Privileged Identity Management (PIM) controls, processes and privileged access reviews.
• Support the secure configuration and operation of Microsoft 365 and Azure services in accordance with organisational standards and security best practice.
• Implement and maintain Microsoft Defender security controls and support security monitoring, threat investigation and incident response activities.
• Support vulnerability management activities, assisting with the identification, prioritisation and remediation of security weaknesses.
• Assist in the implementation and maintenance of Power Platform governance controls, including Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies, environment management and application reviews.
• Produce and maintain security standards, technical documentation, procedures and operational guidance.
• Desirable - Microsoft certifications such as SC-300, SC-900, AZ-900, MS-900 or AZ-500.
