COMSEC System Administrator, Jr. with Security Clearance

Responsibilities

• Assists in the Development and implementation COMSEC policies and procedures for the VSFB COMSEC account, ensuring compliance with DAFMAN 17-1302-O, MPTO 00-33B-5001, CNSSI 4001, 4003, 4004.1 & 4005 and NSA 3-16 across multiple sites
• Assists COMSEC Managers with COMSEC personnel and operations, ensuring adherence to federal security standards, conducting training, and overseeing operational effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with all required regulations and directives by leading audits, assessments, and process evaluations to maintain operational integrity.
• Ensure all personnel receiving COMSEC material are enrolled in the Cryptographic Access Program (CAP) as required
• Establish a comprehensive user-training program for all COMSEC Responsible Officers (CROs) and Secure Voice Responsible Officers (SVROs) and alternates
• Ensure CROs and SVROs conduct user training for all personnel having access to COMSEC material
• Ensure users write COMSEC Standard Operating Procedures and coordinate with the COMSEC Manager
• Assist users in obtaining COMSEC accountable Cryptographic Controlled Item (CCI) equipment in support of program/mission requirements
• Maintain COMSEC account files and prepares and submits accounting receipt records of all COMSEC material issued to users
• Ensure realistic Emergency Action Plans (EAPs) exist at all user locations
• Receive/send packages via Defense Courier Service (DCS) and ensure all material received reconciles with material listed on the transfer report
• Provide users with guidance on shipping COMSEC accountable equipment
• Assist supporting controlling authorities when conducting crypto-systems management revalidations and surveys
• Lead risk management efforts related to COMSEC material security, identifying potential vulnerabilities and implementing corrective actions
• Assists COMSEC Managers with semiannual assessment/audit of both the main account and all local element accounts
• Provide CROs with applicable status information for the key they are issued Required Experience/Qualifications
• Must have 1-3 years experience
• Must be familiar with COMSEC requirements and procedures to include the acquisition, maintenance, operations and disposition of COMSEC equipment. Preferred Experience/Qualifications
• CompTIA Security+ Special Requirements/Security Clearance
• Active DoD TS/SCI Clearance Salary Range SALARY RANGE: Salary Minimum: $52,125

Salary Mid: $ 83,400
Salary Maximum: $ 105,120 The annual base salary provided is a guideline for this position and is not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
