Junior Security Engineer/Philadelphia

Join a growing cybersecurity team as a Junior Security Engineer in Philadelphia, PA. You'll work with technologies including Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Sentinel, Active Directory, Windows Server, Linux, SIEM platforms, and vulnerability management tools while gaining hands-on experience in a collaborative security environment.
Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 0-2 years of experience in information security, IT support, or systems administration
• Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs)
• Experience with Windows Server and/or Linux administration
• Familiarity with Active Directory and Microsoft 365 environments
• Knowledge of security fundamentals including vulnerability management, endpoint security, and access control
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Desired Skills & Experience

• Security+, CySA+, or other relevant cybersecurity certification
• Exposure to SIEM platforms such as Microsoft Sentinel or Splunk
• Experience with Microsoft Defender or other endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions
• Familiarity with scripting using PowerShell, Python, or Bash
• Internship or lab experience supporting security operations
• Understanding of cloud security concepts (Azure or AWS)
