Provide services and support as a Fire Protection Training and Development Specialist [Navy | NIWC Fire Protection Engineer Services and Support] aligned with the Technical Training and Knowledge Transfer Functional Area / Swim Lane / Category Discipline in the Defense and National Security (derived classification) Industry Sector.
This role focusses on Engineering; Compliance; Risk Management (derived ProSidian alignment) Solutions for clients such as U.S. Department of the Navy, Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic (Navy / NIWC Atlantic) | NIWC Atlantic, Department of the Navy; GSA Federal Acquisition Service conducts MRAS. Generally Located In Vandenberg Space Force Base, near Lompoc, Santa Barbara County, California and across the California Central Coast; Western United States; North America Region (Of Country/World) Hybrid – On/Off Client Site and Virtual.
Delivering mission-critical fire protection engineering, risk assessments, regulatory compliance, and safety solutions safeguarding Navy installations. Translating approved fire protection findings into training that improves facility personnel understanding and safety readiness. The Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Atlantic is the U.S. Navy organization seeking fire protection engineering support for facilities in South Carolina, Virginia, and other CONUS locations. - Provide Defense and National Security (derived classification) Sector related Hybrid – On/Off Client Site and Virtual Engineering Services for Navy | NIWC Fire Protection Engineer Services and Support as a Labor Category: Senior Consultant with activities generally located California Central Coast; Western United States; North America | California Central Coast; Western United States; North America Vandenberg Space Force Base, near Lompoc, Santa Barbara County, California.
- Prepare and deliver briefings on approved fire protection findings, review procedures and life safety responsibilities. Have the lead engineer validate technical content. No formal training deliverable appears in the supplied scope.
Desired Qualifications For Fire Protection Training and Development Specialist | Technical Training and Knowledge Transfer [P1NIWC014] Candidates:
Technical instructional design and adult-learning experience. Fire protection subject expertise must be supplied or validated by a qualified engineer.
Education / Experience Requirements / Qualifications
Relevant education, instructional design or technical degree and training experience recommended; no PWS requirement. Historical candidate minimum: master’s degree and 15 years; verify current terms.
Technical instructional design and adult-learning experience. Fire protection subject expertise must be supplied or validated by a qualified engineer.
Skills Required
- Primarily focused on Engineering Services initiatives and aligned with Program Support activities Technical Training and Knowledge Transfer Functional Area Activities.
- Training needs assessment, lesson development, facilitation, technical communication, learning evaluation.
