Description
The Data Engineer at Structural and will own and evolve our modern data stack, moving data from diverse sources into trusted, analytics-ready models that power decision making across the business. You'll design and operate pipelines, shape semantic models in Power BI / Fabric, optimize and manage our Azure Stack. This role will also involve optimizing our ERP data structures and ETL services.

\tDesign, build, and maintain ETL pipelines, currently with SSIS.
\tDesign and implement Azure data assets.
\tBuild and maintain Power BI semantic models, optimizing for refresh and query performance.
\tLeverage Microsoft Fabric for end-to-end analytics workflows, governance, and distribution.
\tManage integrations with external APIs/Applications such as Power BI, Azure DevOps, SalesForce CRM, Princeton TMX.
\tAdminister and optimize On-Prem SQL, Oracle, Azure SQL objects, ensuring data quality and reliability.
\tPartner with end users and business stakeholders to gather requirements, perform testing and QA, and ensure smooth handoff of deliverables.
\tMonitor, troubleshoot, and continuously improve pipeline reliability, cost, and performance.
\tData design and preparation for use with AI tools
\tBachelor's degree in Data Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
\t3-5 years of professional data engineering experience in a production environment.
\tHands-on experience with orchestration tools.
\tProficiency with a modeling framework (such as Dagster, Airflow/Prefect.
\tIntermediate Python (data access, transformations, packaging/venv, type-safe code, unit tests, etc).
\tSQL Expertise (advanced T-SQL, PL/SQL), window functions, performance tuning, query plans, indexing strategies, partitioning.
\tAzure Data Lake, Data Factory, and other data-centric toolsets.
\tWorking knowledge of Microsoft Fabric and Power BI semantic modeling (dimensional design, DAX measures).
\tLinux/Bash skills.
\tAPI/application integrations experience (REST/JSON, OAuth2/Keys, Odata).
\tVersion control with Git and collaborative workflows (PR's, code reviews, etc).
\tStrong communication, documentation, and stakeholder partnership skills.
\tInteractive Data Visualization Design and Implementation.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $112000.00/yr.
