Production Planner

The Role

ElevateBio is seeking a strategic and analytical Master Scheduler to lead strategic schedule management, scenario planning, S&OP development, and cross-functional coordination within our Supply Chain Planning & Scheduling team. This full-time role is critical in ensuring the efficient alignment of supply, demand, and production capabilities while maintaining agility in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

As a Master Scheduler, you will develop and optimize scheduling strategies, analyze multiple scenarios to manage constraints, and lead the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process to drive visibility and informed decision-making. You will play a central role in coordinating manufacturing capacity planning, slot scheduling, and operational execution, ensuring seamless alignment with business objectives and long-term growth plans.

This position is ideal for someone with strong problem-solving skills, the ability to manage complexity, and a strategic mindset toward scheduling and supply chain operations.

Here’s What You’ll Do

• Develop and manage a master production schedule that aligns demand forecasts, manufacturing capacity, and resource availability.
• Lead scenario planning and capacity modeling to evaluate trade-offs, identify constraints, and provide scheduling flexibility.
• Optimize slot planning and long-term facility capacity utilization to ensure efficient operations and scalability.
• Continuously assess scheduling performance, leveraging data-driven insights to refine strategies and improve efficiency.
• Lead the S&OP process, integrating demand planning, production scheduling, and inventory management to align business objectives.
• Collaborate with Commercial, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Finance teams to ensure a balanced approach to supply and demand planning.
• Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor schedule adherence, production efficiency, and forecast accuracy.
• Facilitate monthly S&OP meetings, ensuring alignment across functions and executive visibility into scheduling constraints and opportunities.
• Act as the central scheduling liaison between Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, and Program Management, ensuring alignment on priorities.
• Coordinate manufacturing capacity planning and slot allocation, balancing production schedules with operational constraints.
• Facilitate collaborative meetings and communication channels to ensure all stakeholders remain informed on schedule updates and changes.
• Proactively manage and resolve scheduling conflicts, adapting plans as needed to accommodate demand fluctuations and production variability.
• Manage and update production schedules in SAP, ensuring compliance with SOPs, work instructions, and established workflows.
• Monitor customer demand, manufacturing constraints, and inventory levels, ensuring seamless execution of GMP activities.
• Support technology transfers and clinical manufacturing scheduling, ensuring smooth transitions and efficient resource planning.
• Enhance material planning and inventory control processes, working closely with Manufacturing Operations and Quality Control teams.
• Define and track KPIs for schedule performance, efficiency, and process improvements.
• Develop and maintain advanced reporting tools, improving visibility into scheduling, capacity planning, and inventory trends.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance scheduling accuracy, manufacturing efficiency, and cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 6 years of related experience, OR Master’s degree with at least 4 years of related experience, OR PhD with at least 2 years of experience.
• Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with experience in scenario planning and capacity modeling.
• Proficiency in ERP systems, particularly SAP, with a focus on production scheduling and inventory management.
• Demonstrated expertise in S&OP development and management, including cross-functional coordination and executive reporting.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage complex scheduling processes and competing priorities.
• Proven ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams, balancing multiple stakeholders needs while maintaining scheduling accuracy.
• Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, for advanced data analysis, modeling, and reporting; experience with Tableau or Power BI is a plus.
• High level of initiative and accountability, with a track record of driving scheduling improvements and delivering results.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex scheduling and S&OP concepts to stakeholders at all levels.

Physical and Environment Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend and stretch for extended period of time
• Ability to lift 15-20 lbs
• Ability to push, pull, bend, kneel, twist and climb step ladders while wearing PPE.
• Ability to perform routine repetitive motions with use of arms, wrists and hands

The budgeted range for this position is $125,000 - $165,000 This range is a good faith estimate of the expected hourly range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law.
