QA/QC Project Manager - Onsite

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a QA/QC Project Manager for an Onsite position with a Leading Technology Firm located in Montgomery, AL. This is a 12 month contract opportunity.
This role requires an experienced project owner to drive quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) for mission-critical data center construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a background in making technical decisions, developing quality program metrics, and managing projects on site, acting as an extension of the client's team to ensure infrastructure quality.
Responsibilities:

• Develop and monitor quality program metrics to evaluate project performance
• Analyze metrics to understand the root cause of any disconcerting trends and work with applicable parties to correct them
• Assist with the development of the on-site partner's construction QA and QC team
• Interface between design, construction, safety, and facility operations teams as well as general contractors
• Provide training to personnel regarding quality procedures and specific responsibilities in the QA/QC process
• Examine all submittals (particularly mechanical, electrical, controls, and plumbing) for quality assurance
• Perform quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements
• Review and approve quality documentation such as construction quality procedures, testing matrices, and checklists
• Review commissioning agent level four and five commissioning scripts and provide feedback
• Attend factory witness tests as required for equipment and systems
• Provide an onsite visual inspection for construction quality control of equipment and systems
• Attend required construction meetings, including weekly project meetings and daily commissioning meetings

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in quality control & quality assurance (QA/QC) programs for data centers or mission-critical construction projects
• Experience with Design-Build and Design-Bid-Build construction programs
• Experience in civil/structural, building envelope, mechanical, electrical, and I&C disciplines
• Experience leading QA/QC and Commissioning (Cx) programs
• Experience in contractor, consultant, and vendor management
• Experience in mission-critical power and cooling infrastructure or other critical systems

Desired skills:

• Previous data center experience with a major technology company
• Experience with CSLA disciplines
• Experience with vendor management
• Experience on the build side of projects

Pay range: up to $105.27 per hour
