We're hiring on behalf of a leading defense technology company that's bringing cutting-edge innovation to military capabilities. This organization is dedicated to transforming how advanced systems are developed and deployed, with a focus on speed, intelligence, and security. They are building a team to support critical national security requirements for intelligence community customers.

The Role

• Generate, review, and edit high-quality, user-focused documentation in collaboration with engineering and operations teams.
• Contribute to the technical writing toolkit by developing style guides, documentation lifecycle processes, and software tool requirements.
• Evaluate and prioritize documentation tasks, managing risks and ensuring alignment with product roadmaps and stakeholder input.
• Proactively identify knowledge gaps and develop documentation to bridge them, ensuring clarity for internal and external users.
• Partner with account and engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle to ensure timely delivery of essential user documentation.
• Act as an editor for content authored by engineers, ensuring consistency in tone, voice, and overall quality.

What You'll Need

• 3+ years of experience in technical writing, with a strong portfolio showcasing your skills.
• Proven ability to interpret engineering documentation and collaborate effectively with engineers on writing tasks.
• Experience using various content authoring tools and a passion for excellent user experiences.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for explaining complex technical subjects.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, manage competing priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
• Must currently possess and be able to maintain an active U.S. Top Secret SCI security clearance with Full Scope Polygraph.
