Job Description

Banana Moon Day Nursery in Croydon is seeking a dedicated and passionate Babies/Teenies Room Leader / Early Years Professional to lead our baby room team and support the development of the youngest children in our care. In this role, you will provide a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment for babies aged 0-24 months, ensuring their emotional, social, and physical development is nurtured.

As a Baby Room Leader / Early Years Professional, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality early education and care, leading your team with enthusiasm, and collaborating with parents to support each child’s individual needs.

Salary: £30,000 - £33,000 depending on experience

  • Lead the baby room team to deliver exceptional care and early years education
  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities tailored for infants
  • Promote the well-being and safety of all children in the baby room
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
  • Support and mentor team members for continuous professional growth
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and nursery standards
  • Early Years Professional status or equivalent Level 6 qualification in Early Childhood Education
  • Proven experience working with babies and leading a baby room or similar setting
  • Comprehensive understanding of early childhood development and safeguarding
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and foster a positive team environment
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and best practice
