Job Description

Oberarzt (w/m/d) Unfallchirurgie | Duisburg, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany | On-site

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Physician to join our trauma surgery department. This role offers the opportunity to actively shape operative quality, contribute to training, and foster interdisciplinary collaboration within a leading healthcare facility.

The Role

  • Lead general trauma surgery consultations and actively participate in patient care.
  • Manage the full spectrum of trauma surgical cases for primary and follow-up treatments.
  • Independently perform surgical procedures for both inpatient and outpatient cases.
  • Ensure comprehensive pre- and post-operative patient care.
  • Support medical documentation through dictation and represent the "Durchgangsarzt" (treatment doctor for accidents at work).
  • Participate in the on-call duty rotation for trauma surgery to ensure continuous patient coverage.

What You'll Need

  • Completed specialist training as a Physician for Orthopedics and Trauma Surgery or Special Orthopedics/Trauma Surgery.
  • Proficient in performing standard trauma surgical procedures and working in interdisciplinary emergency care.
  • A desire for professional development or prior experience in a senior physician role, ideally with completed courses for the "D-Arzt" procedure.
  • Willingness to take on organizational and content-related responsibilities and contribute to the advancement of the trauma surgery focus.
  • An empathetic and appreciative demeanor, strong teamwork skills, initiative, and flexibility.
