Job description

Requirement

  1. Excellent numerical subjects and a degree from a top tier academic institution/university
  2. Strong background in Computer Science, Mathematics or Physics
  3. 6+ years’ work experience as a Calypso Business Analyst at a Financial Services company
  4. Strong hands-on Calypso application knowledge in Back Office (Static Data, Cash & Security Management), Collateral Management, Accounting, Limits and Risk Management
  5. Strong business knowledge in Interest Rates (IRD), Fixed Income, FX, FX Options, Equities (EQD) and Exchange Traded Derivatives (Futures & Options)
  6. Proven skills in business analysis
  7. Managed new requirements from business specification through to go-live
  8. Exposure to high quality software development practices with waterfall & agile methodologies
  9. Presents examples of applied creative thinking, innovation and problem solving skills
  10. Able to work and communicate with IT professionals and end users at all seniority levels
  11. Able to liaise with the business to understand requirements and present solutions clearly and concisely
  12. Self-starter who will drive resolutions and improvements rather than just follow instructions and maintain the existing status quo
  13. Able to take a complex issue, identify the causes and prioritise the work necessary
  14. Driven to achieve fast results and provide solutions
  15. A strong interest Capital Markets and Clearing

Role

  1. Manage projects and mentor a team
  2. Liaising with Operations, Product Management and Technology teams
  3. Gathering requirements (both internal and external)
  4. Writing specifications and test plans
  5. Configuring Calypso application
  6. Preparing demos for clients
  7. Onboarding new products and services from UAT to Production
  8. Liaising with software vendors
  9. Training junior members of the team
  10. Assisting User Acceptance process (with clients) and in-house QA team
