Job Description
We are seeking a Trade Compliance Program Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in export compliance program design and operations, including U.S. export classification under the EAR with focus on software, technology, and encryption and a proven ability to build, manage, and continuously improve scalable compliance programs in partnership with cross-functional engineering and legal teams.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct export classification reviews for intangible items, including software and technology, across products, partnerships, development projects, vendors, suppliers, and infrastructure.
- Manage information collection and preparation of global trade licenses and declarations, including deemed export licenses, and track authorization expirations and renewals for U.S. and non-U.S. jurisdictions.
- Oversee compliance and reporting obligations tied to U.S. and non-U.S. licenses and authorizations.
- Monitor regulatory changes, perform enterprise risk assessments based on export control updates, and assess program impacts.
- Develop and manage metrics and dashboards for management reporting on export compliance programs, with emphasis on intangibles.
- Execute additional projects in support of the global trade compliance program under the direction of global trade compliance counsel.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree.
- 5+ years of export compliance experience in a global corporate environment, including U.S. export classification under the EAR with focus on software and technology and in-depth knowledge of encryption regulations.
- 5+ years of experience partnering with engineering teams to determine export controls across hardware and software development life cycles.
- 5+ years of experience using SNAP-R for classifications, licenses, and filings.
- 3+ years of experience managing an export classification program with measurable outcomes.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with export controls for hardware and related components.
- Experience with non-U.S. export regulations and global licensing regimes.
- Experience with sanctions compliance and related screening or reporting obligations.
