Title: Senior Solution Engineer

Introduction

The Senior Solution Engineer is responsible for leading technical discovery, solution design, and delivery of scalable, high-quality software solutions that address complex business needs. This role combines deep-hands-on software engineering expertise with a consultative, solution-oriented mindset. The Senior Solution Engineer partners closely with business stakeholders, product teams, and engineering organizations to design, build, demonstrate, and implement end-to-end solutions that align with architectural standards and strategic objectives. This position serves as a technical leader across the solution lifecycle, influencing design decisions, ensuring delivery excellence, and mentoring less experienced team members.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery sessions to understand business objectives, functional requirements, and technical constraints.
• Translate business needs into scalable, secure, and maintainable solution architectures.
• Design end-to-end solutions that balance customer value, technical feasibility, and long-term sustainability.
• Create and deliver customized solution demonstrations, proofs of concept, and technical presentations to validate proposed approaches and support decision-making.
• Contribute to RFP responses, technical proposals, architecture documentation, and implementation plans.
• Lead and coordinate testing efforts for new and enhanced solutions, including functional, integration, and regression testing.
• Analyze testing results and software defects to identify root causes and implement effective resolutions.
• Partner with infrastructure and operations teams to plan deployments, business continuity, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Provide post-implementation support to ensure successful adoption and operational stability.
• Collaborate closely with product management, business analysts, engineering teams, infrastructure, and security partners to deliver integrated solutions.
• Communicate solution status, risks, dependencies, and technical considerations to stakeholders and leadership.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and analysts, promoting consistent solution engineering and development practices.
• Identify opportunities to improve and streamline solution and software lifecycle processes.
• Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive solutions to inform architectural decisions and recommend innovation opportunities.
• Ensure all solution engineering and development activities comply with organizational policies, security standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive solution and application documentation, including designs, test plans, deployment procedures, and maintenance guides.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 10 years of experience in solution engineering, software development, or a related technical role.
• Strong technical acumen with the ability to design and articulate complex solutions.
• Proven ability to design and articulate complex technical solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience with enterprise software development, APIs, integrations, and modern application architectures.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience with cloud platforms and distributed systems.
• Experience in regulated or enterprise environments (e.g., financial services).
• Demonstrated ability to mentor others and influence technical decision-making.
