Senior Test Analyst

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Test Analyst with strong experience in large-scale application implementations, legacy application modernization, requirements analysis, test strategy, test planning, defect management, and database testing.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience coordinating testing activities across business, functional, and technical teams, along with hands-on experience using JAMA or similar Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools and writing SQL queries for application and interface testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate testing activities across business, functional, and technical testing teams.

• Establish and manage test execution objectives, schedules, and priorities.

• Manage defect validation, follow-up, verification, resolution tracking, and escalation.

• Develop and maintain defect metrics, burndown charts, dashboards, and trend reports.

• Review and analyze business and technical requirements to ensure testability and completeness.

• Develop and review business requirements, business rules, technical requirements, and service requirements.

• Develop and maintain test strategies, test plans, and detailed test cases.

• Support the development and review of transition plans and traceability matrices.

• Ensure complete traceability between requirements, test cases, test execution, and defects.

• Use JAMA or similar ALM tools to manage requirements, test cases, defects, and end-to-end traceability.

• Perform database and interface testing using SQL queries.

• Analyze test results, identify issues, and work with technical and business teams to resolve defects.

• Support testing for large-scale application implementations and legacy application modernization initiatives.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• 10+ years of experience within the last 12 years as a Test Analyst supporting large organizations implementing or modernizing legacy applications.

• 10+ years of experience within the last 12 years developing or reviewing:

  • Business requirements and business rules

  • Technical and service requirements

  • Test strategies

  • Test plans

  • Test cases

  • Transition plans

  • Traceability matrices

• 8+ years of experience within the last 12 years using Test Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools, such as JAMA, for:

  • Requirements management

  • Test case management

  • Defect management

  • End-to-end requirements traceability

• 8+ years of experience within the last 12 years working with large databases and writing SQL queries for application and interface testing.

Preferred Skills
