Reporting Accountant – Insurance - Christopher Janes Recruitment

Exciting opportunity with a well known city based insurance business. This is a broad, hands on, Permanent role, visible across the business. In the role you will provide high-quality management and financial reporting as well as supporting process improvement.

Duties will include:

1. Preparation and review of Financial Statements for Insurance and Management Companies in accordance with UK GAAP and IFRS
2. Preparation of consolidated accounts
3. Prepare quarterly and annual regulatory returns
4. Liaise with external auditors and tax consultants
5. Review and submission of UK VAT returns
6. Monthly review of trial balance

Profile:

1. Qualified Accountant with 3 - 6 years post qualified experience
2. Strong Insurance accounting experience
3. Involvement in the Technical close process of a general Insurer.
4. Experience preparing Solvency II or other Regulatory Returns
