The Assistant Director of Human Resources serves as a strategic partner to the Director of Human Resources and overall hotel leadership, supporting all facets of Human Resources operations while fostering a culture of excellence, engagement, and inclusivity consistent with the Park Hyatt brand.

This role assists in overseeing employee relations, talent acquisition, performance management, training and development, compensation, benefits administration, compliance, and workforce planning. The ideal candidate will possess significant experience in unionized labor environments, with a strong understanding of collective bargaining agreements, labor relations, grievance administration, and contract interpretation.

This position plays a critical role in supporting labor negotiations, maintaining positive union relationships, and ensuring compliance with applicable labor laws and negotiated agreements. Key responsibilities include partnering with department leaders to drive employee engagement initiatives, leadership development programs, succession planning, and workforce optimization strategies.

The Assistant Director will also help lead investigations, provide guidance on complex employee relations matters, and support organizational change initiatives that enhance operational effectiveness and employee satisfaction.

Pay Salary Range: $115,000-$125,000
Qualifications
The successful candidate must demonstrate exceptional communication, leadership, and analytical skills, with a proven track record in team development, workforce planning, talent management, and coaching leaders to drive performance and accountability. Experience in a luxury hospitality environment is highly preferred, along with the ability to balance business objectives with employee advocacy.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related field.
5+ years of progressive Human Resources leadership experience, preferably within luxury hospitality. Extensive experience working in unionized labor settings. Demonstrated experience supporting or participating in labor negotiations and collective bargaining processes. Strong background in employee relations, workforce development, organizational effectiveness, and leadership coaching. Thorough knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws.

Ability to build credibility and maintain strong relationships with employees, union representatives, departmental leaders, and senior executives.
