Job Description

We are seeking a Lead ETL Developer to architect modern data migration pipelines, mentor a dedicated team of engineers, and drive a critical database modernization initiative.
 

Position Overview

  • Role: Lead ETL Developer
  • Work Arrangement: Remote
  • Location: Des Moines, IA (EST Shift)
  • Interview Process: Web Cam or In-Person Interview

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead & Mentor: Guide, train, and oversee a team of 4+ ETL developers on coding standards, best practices, and pipeline design.
  • Architect Pipelines: Design, build, and deploy automated data ingestion and migration pipelines sourcing data from Google Cloud Platform BigQuery into enterprise SQL data warehouses.
  • Data Transformation & Modeling: Implement modern Medallion Architecture models to standardize raw data into scalable analytical structures.
  • Quality Assurance: Develop testing and validation strategies to maintain data integrity, accuracy, and high query performance.

Required Core Skills & Qualifications

  • 7+ Years of hands-on ETL development experience.
  • 7+ Years of technical leadership experience guiding teams of 4 or more developers.
  • Expert Knowledge in Google BigQuery and Google Cloud Dataform.
  • Strong Expertise in Medallion Architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold data layers).
  • Proficiency with modern enterprise data modeling, SQL data warehousing, and BI/reporting tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional stakeholder engagement.
