A welcoming family in Sound Beach, NY 11789 is seeking an experienced, Home Health Aide (HHA) certified caregiver to assist a 73-year-old woman living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). She lives with her companion, who acts as her primary caregiver, in a supportive and comfortable home environment.

Schedule & Flexibility:

• Multiple Caregivers Welcome: The family is open to hiring multiple caregivers to cover shifts. Caregivers can pick and choose the specific days and times that work best for their availability.
• Daily Split Shifts Available:
  • Morning shift: 2 hours (starting between 7:00 AM – 8:00 AM)
  • Evening shift: 2 hours (around 4:00 PM)
• Hours: Up to 32 total hours per week available across all shifts. Hours are highly flexible and negotiable.

Family Specifications:

• Home environment shared with the care recipient’s primary caregiver companion.
• Family values a reliable, compassionate, and attentive caregiver who can engage warmly with the recipient.

Responsibilities:

• Provide hands-on personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and incontinence care.
• Perform safe transfers to and from bed using a Hoyer lift.
• Assist with external catheter setup.
• Prepare meals and complete light housekeeping and laundry.

Requirements:

• Current HHA (Home Health Aide) certification required.
• Eligibility to be hired under the New York Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program (CDPAP).
• Demonstrated experience performing transfers using a Hoyer lift.
• Physical ability to assist with personal care and mobility transfers safely.

Preferred:

• Prior experience assisting individuals living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS).
• Location Preference: Local candidates residing within 5 miles of Sound Beach, NY 11789 are strongly preferred to ensure reliable attendance for split shifts.

Compensation:

• $20.05 per hour ( Paid through PPL and benefits are provided)
