A senior Site Reliability Engineer will join an established infrastructure function responsible for highly available, security-conscious cloud systems supporting complex business-critical workloads.

You'll take significant ownership of reliability, scalability, and automation across a substantial AWS environment, with Terraform serving as a core component of infrastructure provisioning and lifecycle management. The position blends hands-on production engineering with automated remediation, CI/CD, Kubernetes, and deep Linux troubleshooting, while offering opportunities to work across a broader range of enterprise technologies.

This is a senior individual contributor role suited to an engineer who enjoys improving operational maturity, reducing manual intervention, and solving infrastructure problems at scale.

The position is remote within the U.S., with alignment to Eastern Time business hours preferred.

Required Skills & Experience
  • Significant SRE, DevOps, or cloud infrastructure engineering experience managing production AWS environments at scale, combined with strong Linux systems administration and troubleshooting expertise.
  • Advanced Terraform experience designing, provisioning, and maintaining infrastructure as code, alongside practical experience with CI/CD and configuration automation technologies such as Jenkins and Ansible.
  • Production experience with Kubernetes, containerized applications, and distributed infrastructure, including participation in shared incident response or on-call rotations.

Desired Skills & Experience
  • Experience applying AI-driven tooling, autonomous workflows, or intelligent automation to infrastructure and operational engineering.
  • Exposure to complex enterprise data, analytics, database, or business application platforms operating at significant scale.
  • Experience supporting environments governed by rigorous security, compliance, or regulatory controls, with broader enterprise operating system experience considered beneficial.

Daily Responsibilities
  • Hands-On Engineering: 65%
  • Team Collaboration & Cross-Functional Work: 35%

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in United States on a full-time basis now and in the future.

Accommodation will be provided in all parts of the hiring process as required under Motion Recruitment's Employment Accommodation policy. Applicants need to make their needs known in advance.
