Turner & Townsend are leaders in professional services to the Data Centre sector globally. Due to the continued success and expansion of our Data Centre business in Germany we are currently recruiting for an experienced CSA Project Manager (m/f/d)  to join our Data Centre team in Düsseldorf.

In this role, you will support the delivery of civil, structural, and architectural (CSA) works during design, procurement, and construction phases. Based on site, the role focuses on coordinating stakeholders, monitoring quality and progress, and ensuring compliance with project requirements, safety standards, and schedules.

Responsibilities:

  • Review CSA design documents and provide technical input.
  • Participate in design reviews and risk assessments.
  • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, consultants, and client teams.
  • Support project meetings and maintain clear communication with stakeholders.
  • Assist in tracking scope, schedule, budget, and project risks.
  • Maintain and update project risk registers and mitigation actions.
  • Help identify and escalate issues affecting project delivery.
  • Support quality inspections, audits, and commissioning activities.
  • Verify contractor compliance with specifications, drawings, and standards.
  • Assist with defect management and project handover activities.
  • Coordinate RFIs, submittals, transmittals, and project documentation.
  • Prepare regular progress and status reports.
  • Support change management by reviewing technical and scope-related information.
  • Monitor construction activities and report non-conformances.
  • Witness site inspections and testing activities as required.
  • Track construction progress against the project schedule.
  • Support contractor coordination during installation, commissioning, and handover.
  • Promote compliance with health, safety, and quality requirements.
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, and operations teams.
  • Coordinate with operations and security teams to facilitate site access and turnover activities.

 

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Several years of experience in construction, engineering, or project delivery roles, preferably within data centre, industrial, or mission-critical projects.
  • Experience coordinating CSA works through design, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
  • Good understanding of construction drawings, specifications, QA/QC processes, and industry standards.
  • Familiarity with contractor management, site inspections, and progress monitoring.
  • Experience supporting RFIs, submittals, change management, and project documentation processes.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental requirements on construction sites.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work effectively with clients, contractors, consultants, and internal teams.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
