Chief Engineer

Dexian Government Solutions is recruiting for a Chief Engineer to support our proposal at DISA in Ft. Meade, MD.
Position Overview:

• Chief Engineer to provide technical authority for the DISA JPES and JCRM sustainment and modernization effort.
• This individual will define and govern the integrated application, cloud, infrastructure, security, interface, and DevSecOps architecture and lead resolution of the program's most complex engineering and operational challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the senior technical authority across application architecture, software development, Azure IL6, infrastructure, interfaces, security, and operational sustainment.
• Maintain architecture views, technical standards, interface definitions, configuration baselines, engineering decisions, and modernization roadmaps.
• Lead design reviews and evaluate proposed changes for mission effectiveness, availability, resiliency, cybersecurity, interoperability, maintainability, cost, and schedule risk.
• Guide Agile and DevSecOps implementation, including source control, continuous integration, automated testing, release management, configuration management, and repeatable deployment practices.
• Define the technical approach for integrating externally developed applications and capabilities into JPES and JCRM without degrading operational or cybersecurity posture.
• Lead Azure IL6 infrastructure support and automation, including Infrastructure as Code, identity, networking, storage, monitoring, logging, backup, patching, and vulnerability remediation.
• Lead complex Tier 3 troubleshooting across applications, middleware, databases, operating systems, networks, cloud services, physical lab infrastructure, and external mission interfaces.
• Support contractor integration testing, Government acceptance and operational testing, classified releases, technical refresh, and mission-driven activities at Fort Meade and authorized CCMD headquarters.
• Mentor engineering personnel, coordinate technical work across functional teams, and communicate architecture decisions, risks, dependencies, and recommended courses of action to Government stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

• At least 10 years of software-development experience, including senior engineering or architecture responsibility for complex enterprises or mission systems.
• Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or a closely related technical discipline. Four additional years of relevant experience may substitute for the bachelor's degree.
• Demonstrated experience with enterprise application architecture, software integration, DevSecOps, configuration and release management, testing, and production sustainment.
• Ability to lead engineering across applications, cloud, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data, network, and operational-support disciplines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical decisions and risks to Government and program leadership.
• Interim or final Secret clearance at contract start and ability to maintain Final Secret access and DISA facility access.
