Quick Overview
Job Description
The Opportunity
We're working with an ambitious, growing Direct to Consumer Ecommerce business to appoint a commercially minded Chief Executive Officer to lead the organisation through its next stage of development.
This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who combines strategic vision with a hands-on, practical approach. Working closely with the Board, founders and senior leadership team, you will set the direction of the business, drive sustainable growth and build the structure, culture and capability needed to deliver long-term success.
The successful candidate will be comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment where priorities evolve quickly. You will bring strong commercial judgement, a clear understanding of customers and markets, and the ability to turn strategy into measurable results.
The Role
You will have ownership across the full business, including:
Developing and delivering the company's strategy, vision and long-term growth plan
Leading overall business performance, commercial growth and operational execution
Building strong relationships with partners, investors and other key stakeholders
Setting clear objectives, performance measures and accountability across the organisation
Leading, developing and inspiring a high-performing senior leadership team
Strengthening organisational structure, processes and governance as the business scales
Managing budgets, forecasting, financial performance and resource allocation
Using customer and commercial data to guide decisions on growth, retention and lifetime value
Identifying new markets, partnerships, products and commercial opportunities
Ensuring the business maintains a strong focus on customer experience, quality and innovation
Working with the Board on business planning, risk management and strategic decision-making
About You
We are particularly interested in people who have successfully led a growing ecommerce business, division or complex organisation and can demonstrate clear commercial and operational impact.
You will have direct experience in a DTC subscription business, with a solid grasp of retention, cohort behaviour and repeat-purchase economics. Beyond that, you will have a track record of developing and executing business strategy, managing P&L performance and leading teams through growth, transformation or change. Strong financial understanding and the ability to use data to inform decisions will be important, as will the credibility to engage confidently with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will be an inspiring and inclusive leader who creates clarity, builds trust and brings people with them. You will be decisive without being removed from the detail, able to balance short-term delivery with long-term value creation, and comfortable taking ownership in an entrepreneurial environment.
This role could suit an experienced executive ready to take on their first CEO appointment, a Managing Director or senior business leader looking to step up. The important thing is that you have the leadership maturity, commercial capability and energy to shape the next chapter of a growing organisation.
Why Apply
This is an opportunity to join a business with significant ambition and influence its strategy, culture and performance at a pivotal stage. You will have genuine ownership, close access to the Board and the opportunity to build a lasting platform for growth.
How to Apply
To find out more, including full details of the business, please submit your CV and a covering letter in confidence.
