Electrical Calibration Technician | Blacksburg, VA, United States | On-site | $21.00 - $28.00 Hourly

The Role

  • Utilize and calibrate a variety of electrical equipment, including soldering irons, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and custom testing apparatus.
  • Maintain and repair electronic equipment, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored, cleaned, and calibrated.
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of logic circuitry and new test equipment.
  • Manage calibration scheduling, coordinate external calibration services, and maintain detailed calibration records.
  • Select and order necessary electrical inspection tools and assist in procedure development for complex calibration needs.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement processes and assist in training and cross-training of team members.

What You'll Need

  • Associate's degree in Electronics or Instrumentation, or equivalent military experience; other technical degrees may be considered.
  • Minimum of two years of relevant electronic and/or electromechanical experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and apply work instructions, perform basic mathematics, and interpret electrical schematics.
  • Quality consciousness, technical aptitude, and good manual dexterity.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks requiring bending, kneeling, and prolonged sitting or standing.
  • Proficiency with traditional PCs and Microsoft Office applications.
