Senior Software Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES

Kforce has a client in need of a Senior Software Engineer in Coppell, TX.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, implement, and support scalable enterprise software applications
• Translate business requirements into effective technical solutions in partnership with stakeholders and technology teams
• Develop high-quality code while following established architecture, security, testing, and development standards
• Participate in application design, technical planning, and solution implementation
• Troubleshoot complex application and system issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement effective resolutions
• Maintain technical documentation, source control, testing, and software quality processes
• Collaborate with project teams to deliver solutions within established timelines and requirements
• Support cloud-based application development, integrations, and modernization initiatives
• Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentoring to other developers
• Contribute to Agile delivery practices, continuous improvement, and development best practices
• Communicate technical recommendations, risks, and solutions to business and technology stakeholders

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of professional software development and application delivery experience
• Strong experience with object-oriented programming and enterprise application development
• Advanced knowledge of C#, .NET technologies, and relational database development
• Experience developing APIs, backend services, and modern web applications
• Knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript and modern front-end development frameworks
• Strong SQL development, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills
• Experience with cloud-based application development and deployment
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle practices, Agile methodologies, and iterative delivery
• Experience with source control, automated testing, integration testing, and CI/CD practices
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently while providing technical guidance to other team members
• Exposure to AI-enabled applications, large language models, or retrieval-based solutions is a plus
• Experience supporting applications within financial services, lending, or another highly regulated industry is a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
